MCM Attends Public Hearing to Provide Women’s Wellness Services to GAD
Muntinlupa City, Philippines - The Medical Center Muntinlupa (MCM) and the Muntinlupa City Gender and Development Office (CGM) have moved to the public hearing stage in their negotiations to provide women's wellness services to the qualified beneficiaries of the city.
The initial meeting, attended by Muntinlupa First Lady Trina Biazon, proposed MCM to become the referral center for women's wellness services, such as breast ultrasound and mammography. The referral center will provide the necessary medical equipment and skilled medical professionals to perform these services. The expenses incurred in availing these services will be covered by CGM, through the Gender and Development Office.
The public hearing, which took place on April 19, 2023, was chaired by Councilor Engr. Arlene Hilapo, the Chairwoman of the Committee on Gender Equality and Development, while administrative officer Mrs. Felygien Dalida lead the delegation for MCM alongside Chief Radiologic Technologist Danilo Agarem.
The hearing aimed to gather the public's feedback on the proposed memorandum of agreement (MOA) between CGM and MCM.
The MOA will outline the responsibilities of each party involved in providing women's wellness services to the beneficiaries of the city. It will also ensure the delivery of high-quality medical services and promote women's health in the community.
The negotiations between CGM and MCM have been a significant step forward in promoting women's wellness services in Muntinlupa City. By providing access to affordable and high-quality healthcare, the beneficiaries of the city can avail themselves of vital services, which will promote their health and wellbeing.
