MCM: A Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital

Last March 31, 2022, Medical Center Muntinlupa, Inc. passed the renewal of its accreditation as a certified Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital.

The Department of Health competed a two-day audit and approved the renewal of MCM’s Certificate of Commitment. Home to pioneer residency programs in OB-GYN, Pediatrics, and Internal Medicine, the achievement is another testament to the MCM’s dedication to medical and wellness education, prioritizing the vital first few days of a newborn’s life as an opportunity to provide mothers with the support they need to begin breastfeeding successfully.

The Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative was established to encourage health facilities around the country to facilitate, protect, support, and educate on successful breastfeeding to promote the highest level of natural care for new mothers and their infants.

MCM celebrates this milestone alongside the recent reaccreditation of its Pediatrics Department’s Residency Program by the Philippine Pediatric Society.
